HARVEST SHALL NOT CEASE

"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and HARVEST, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."  Genesis 8:22

After the flood, God promised Noah that He would never send another worldwide punishment until the end of time itself.  God ALWAYS keeps His word which is very reassuring.  

THE GREAT HARVEST

"The HARVEST truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the HARVEST, that He would send forth laborers into His HARVEST." Luke 10:2

God's harvest field of souls is ripe and ready to bring in. All He is waiting for are those who will work with and for Him.  Lord, help me to be willing to be used of you.

LOOK ON THE FIELDS!

"Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest?  behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and LOOK ON THE FIELDS; for they are white already to HARVEST."  John 4:35

The field is the world. I only have to really look with Jesus' eyes at those around me with whom I come in contact with every day.  Neighbors, bankers, grocery workers, store employees, etc. - so many do NOT know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I need to open my eyes and share the GOOD NEWS of the GOSPEL with them!

HANDS

"Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding that I may learn Thy commandments." Psalm 119:73

Why don't I believe that God will help me to be just like His Son?  After all, He made me and understands my strengths and my weaknesses.  He wants me to know and love and obey Him intimately.  He WILL give me understanding!

MEDITATION

"I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember Thy wonders of old.  I will meditate also of all Thy work, and talk of Thy doings."  (Psalm 77:11-12)

One of the best things I love to do at the ocean is to just walk along the shore.  I like to talk to God and tell Him just how AWESOME I know He is and thank Him for His wonderful creation!

ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL!

"Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly ABOVE all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory..."

(Ephesians 3:20, 21)

How often do I limit God's awesome power by unconfessed sin in my life or by a spirit of unbelief?  I have a BIG God and need to think, live, and pray like I believe that! To God be all the glory!

THE HOUSE OF THE LORD

"I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord."   (Psalm 122:1)

Tonight is the last night our church will hold services in this building.  For at least 150 years, Baptists have held their services here!  Now we have outgrown it and will be holding our first service in the newly built building this coming Sunday. I will miss its historical heritage, its beautiful stained glass windows, and its location next to the city park.  But, the church is not just a building; it is the people that make up her congregation.  May God bless the new building and location and add greatly to its congregation!
